To explain the chaos of Sookie’s life is trying to explain how the world started. Shortly after meeting Bill Compton, Sookie’s grandmother, Adele or Gran to Sookie, shows interest in Bill and invites him to attend her own personal group of the ‘Glorious Dead’. That night, Sookie finds her dead and the whole town blames Bill for her death. With her telepathic abilities at hand, Sookie uses them to gain evidence for crimes, jobs from Eric Northman, and hearing the disgusting, putrid thoughts of other humans. Sookie remains with Bill, but of course like every relationship, has major problems and issues. After Bill goes off to King Russell’s, Sookie in a way backs off and tried to do her own thing. Meanwhile, her connection with Eric grows closer and the tension is beyond strong. After Eric looses his memories, she ends up growing even closer to Eric and stays with him for a while, watching over him. When Eric gains his memories back, Sookie faces the hard decision of choosing Eric or Bill and she cannot choose. She simply rejects them both for all of their sakes and leaves.
